I should have put the still before 'believe in God' but I do not feel like fixing it, as usual.
Anyway, I'm not Christian, but I have met many online who are gay and Christian, and have a friend offline who is very, very, veeery Christian but is bisexual.
And I feel so bad for them.
If you're not religious, you can just roll your eyes at the 'BIBLE SAYS IT'S WRONG' argument against homosexuality and be all 'don't believe in it brah.' But people who are Christian...God, they get:
"WHAT YOU CANNOT BE GAY IT GOES AGAINST JESUS YOU'RE NOT FOLLOWING THE BIBLE YOU'RE DISOBEYING YOUR OWN GOD GOD HATES YOU NOW YOU'RE A SINNER YOU'RE NOT CHRISTIAN DIDN'T YOU SEE THAT IN BATMAN 20:12 THEY ALL SAID IT'S WRONG BAAAW."
You Christians are just such a funny bunch. You say that your God loves all and doesn't discriminate and doesn't hate - and you'd think that one of the people in that religion would get an even bigger free pass than anyone else. :T
Just allow them to go on with their lives. They can be Christian and homosexual. Your excuses are starting to get extremely lame considering that there's a million different quotes that people say are legit and half of the people of your religion says that nowhere in any religious text of yours does it say shit about homosexuality. And please don't clog up my comments section with bible quotes unless they're nice ones.
You know. Tolerance. The only thing I request for my comments sections of my stamps.
I thought you so called Christians were supposed to have that as a pretty big damn virtue.
Does God love everyone? Perhaps. Is he real? Maybe.
If he does love everyone, though, he must be very disappointed in homophobes and anyone else who hates someone just because "THEY GO AGAINST THE GOOD BOOK!" You know what else is in the good book? "Love thy neighbor!"
That was funny! Anyway, my ex-boyfriend set me up once, making me believe that homosexuality is "stupid." That ultimately aroused some people, including someone who had made an account, trying to impersonate me. I mean, I shouldn't have said words like "stupid" and "abomination," but honestly, my ex-boyfriend is to blame on his part.
I want to go into my long winded arguement as to why every Christian saying the Bible condemns homosexuality, is wrong. The ONLY place it is mentioned is in rules for an ex pagan community listing their previous worship practices and stating that that community could not do that any longer.
I am gay. God loves me. God loves all. He never said to hate anyone for any reason. Stop being so hateful people!
That's good to hear, because your original "gay people can believe in God but they can't be Christians" comment was horrendously ignorant of one of the most basic pillars of Christianity. If you've accepted Christ in your heart as your savior, you're a Christian. Period.
Homosexual activity is a sin just like every other sin, so a gay person is just as capable of being a Christian as you or me. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Half the Christians I've met says he does, and these are usually the extremists that make the religion look utterly dreadful. The other half don't.
I'm going to go with the latter merely because the former also start to preach that he's the kindest person in existence, and you think the kindest person in existence wouldn't care who his 'creations' want to love. c:
I'm a christian myself and I get a ton of crap for being a transgender guy instead of a PERFUCT STR8 GURL
I've actually done a lot of research on the Bible and the history of the church's "anti-gay" policies and found out it didn't initially condemn people who are legitimately gay, and that only heterosexual men (not gay men or any woman) can be a "sodomite." Jesus only talked about homosexuals once, and that was a brief mention on "eunuchs who were so born from their mother's womb" in Matthew 19 (the romans called men who weren't attracted to women "constitutional eunuchs" because they were physically whole unlike castrated eunuchs). the other verses in their historical context were talking about certain practices found in cults to Moloch and Ashtoreth which involved straight guys doing it with each other and dressing up in women's clothing
tl;dr gay is okay in christianity, people should do more research :u
