Or, for that matter, I refuse to hate anything, even things that I truly don't like, just because they're extremely popular and among the franchises that are popular to like now-a-days/ popular to hate now-a-days.
I honestly don't give a shit if what I like is popular - though...actually I'll admit that I quite like it if it is. More to do with the fandom, more fanart to oggle over, etc.

People who hate things because its mainstream are ridiculous and people who hate things because its mainstream hated are equally ridiculous. (Looking at you terribly acted but fun action movies)
Or mainstream to hate. I don't get what's so bad about nickelback. I've loved them since 'Hero'. I mean, if it was the typical, "ah, its new, destroy it!" I'd understand where the morons are coming from, but nickelback's been around for over a decade now.
