You're on deviantart. It's one of those sites that actually has a lot of rules to them and rules that will be enforced. Most of it involves not using your own work without permission.
Such as most motivational posters (though some people do get around it creatively by drawing the scene that they wanted to make a poster about; props to the person who did this with Scooby Doo). Or just sloppily colouring in Pokemon pixels and saying it's all your own.
Some people like to actually go to the rules though and remind you of them, lest you'd rather just be taken away from DA for the rest of your life and then further taken away from ban evasion. As these people are pressing it onto you you try to think of an excuse, something to say.
'I SAID IT WASN'T MINE!'
You get the 'does giving credit give me whatever to do this' link.
'SCREW OFF FAG!'
They just laugh.
You puzzle and puzzle until your puzzler is sore...and then you get a grand idea and scream out, "BUT SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE ON DEVIANTART DO IT!"
And congratulations you got put out the worst excuse possible! Seriously, this is what almost everyone tries to boil down to; according to one chick who does the colouring in sprites thing, and I quote, "BUT HALF OF DEVIANTART COLOURS IN SPRITES'.
Half of deviantart folks. HALF OF DEVIANTART.
It doesn't frikking matter though. Half of deviantart could actually be doing this but you still aren't allowed to do it. Even if you're fine now you're eventually going to get cracked down; like when the Admins fucking floored people who used motivational posters. A many of people were banned/forced to take down their work that...some months I think it was.
It's like what an old teacher of mine says. He was was talking about the whole right and wrong and said that using this excuse for anything is like saying, "Well, I saw a person speeding on the freeway. They did it so I should be allowed to too."
Not as extreme of course, but it's in the same wave length. Use the excuses all you want. The people who will be more than happy to report you will flock you. And you will be pushed off of here.
Extra note; telling the rules as they are isn't trolling nor trying to threaten you. They're just telling you the facts. Get it straight already.
I hate how people think it is funny to just trace over something with out the artists permission. That counts as bullying. And worse the person would make troll accounts about them. I know a lot of people on DA wouldn't be alive if they didn't have this site. DA is ment to be happy and help others, not to steal and make fun of. And it is cypher bullying and many kill themselves over depression caused by bullying offline/and online. I thank you for making this stamp :3 Following the rules makes everyone happy trust me :3 And safe too :3
is like that girl here who was stealing other people art. One of my friend ask her to stop and she get angry at my friend and make a group and make a list of everyone who deserve to be banned because they told her to stop stealing art. But she's the one who got banned XD.
plenty of people are murderers, it doesnt mean you should copy them! i know thats a little bit of an exageration to the rules of da, but the concept is the same! thankyou for making this i faved
Can anyone help me with this?: A guy here copied at a base and drew it on paper. Then, he colored it in. Is he stealing the base or is it fine?
For some reason, I can't figure out that one. And here's another, even though I'm know that they stole it: A person stole a picture but, turned it into a different animal. They told me that you can't steal a pose. What can I say to them?
I love this by the way. I hate when people say that and, call me a troll for trying to lay down the rules. I'm just trying to help so, they don't get in trouble.
I so agree with this and though it is more about people on deviant art there sadly are people who do this everywhere and happen to try and make money off of it. Like this one girl I randomly came upon selling stolen Hetalia fan art on Amazon.com.
I completely agree with this stamp. I hate people who say: <<lol, other people break the rules, so I can do it, too!>> FUCK YOU. So, if other people kill themselves, are you going to kill yourself, too? Duh.
Excellent point of view, very laudable, but the word you're after is "entitled" rather than "entailed" the word entailed is a past-tense verb referring usually to the content of a proposition, for example: 'I wouldn't have signed that contract had I known what the project entailed.' - the subject has committed to a project whose component responsibilities he was not aware of and is opposed to. The verb "entitled" is a different word altogether, another past-tense verb, but this one indicating an individual's given right, for example, 'Well, that's Sarah's opinion and she's entitled to it.' - the subject defends the hypothetical Sarah from someone who disagrees with her view by reminding the third party that she has a right to it.
That counts as bullying.
And worse the person would make troll accounts about them.

Other than that, it's an excellent stamp!
