^{Well, the 'IT'S THE FANS' excuse has already been debunked well enough for being bullshit, so it wouldn't hurt for someone to actually give something an honest shot before saying they hate it. In fact, you really cannot say you hate it because you don't fucking know what happens or what it's about. You never got a first hand experience. You're just jumping on the 'THE FANS SUCK, I DON'T LIKE THE FANS SO I HATE IT TOO!' train that Twilight practically cemented into the ground.

In that case really you just hate the fandom.

Anywhoodle, it's easy to notice when many, many people say they hate something and have probably spent...five minutes on it, which even though some people say it can be...no. That cannot be a good amount of time to learn about something. :I

Most people give hints. Like every person who hates Pewdie Pie...I swear that every person has used this phrase over and over and over, "How can anyone like someone who screams rape every two seconds?"; they then go on about how wrong that is.

...don't know about anyone else, but just from watching...two videos, two random videos, I can tell more than he just screams 'random sexually-related thing here'. He's mentioned phallic symbols a hell lot more than rape; in fact, I think the most time there's any indication is in any Amnesia video with Piggeh and that's it. From there that's a good sign that those people either watched one video and it happened to be one where he mentioned it, or only heard from other people what he does/says and thought that was reasoning enough.

C'mon guuuys. It won't kill you to spend a little time more to not make yourself look like an idiot. When I first disliked Adventure Time I decided to go through more episodes to try and find merit but just couldn't find any until the whole Ice King thing; even with something I really, really could not stand (ahem, Homestuck) I piled my way through it when I first heard about it and just couldn't stick. I don't even remember any of it now except for troll names.

Then again, naturally some people have actually looked more, tried to find merit, looked hard and hard and couldn't come up with anything. If that's the case, bitch away. It would just be nice if you could have actually critical bitching though. I managed to find a lot of anti-MLP people who actually had reasonable shit against it.

*Les sigh*Heh,my group of "acquaintances" judge ME about the things I like.Such triggers!(see what I did there?)They say I'm emo just because I love and wear black,they say I should get "out there" more to be noticed (I'm the Canada/Estonia/Romano/Karkat in the classroom),they have never heard me sing (only 3 CLOSE friends know how it sounds like.They said it's nice,but I feel more than flattered because of that) and they believe I have a bad voice,they say I suck because I hate 1D (Really.I know.It's partly because it's so repetitive,and the other because of ADoseOfBuckley...),they hate my choice in music,they hate anime,they hate comics,they never actually listen to me,I started disliking certain people but I shut my mouth and read,and they almost never talk to me unless they want help on things and news!The $#!@ I have to put up with!! (Yes.I swear.A lot.They never heard me though.)

Actually,I'm quite old,and I like MLP,that is,The OLD one.I grew up with it and what not.And they say,Invader Zim is stupid,right to my face....I have to bite my tongue to not cuss them out loud.But I do in my head.Yep.That's my life.Triggers,hate,sadness,and annoyance is a BIG thing when I sit with them,I mean,I never CHOOSE to join them,my close friends like them,and they eat with us a lot.So yes,I hate many things.I also turn to technology,anime,and rock music because of this to cheer up.And adding Pewdiepie,Cry,MMDs,AMVs,CMVs,Homestuck,Pocky,and PotO,You got a happy me.
I'm used to this...and yes,I'm sick and tired of it,no matter what I do,they never stop.

I used to hate first-person shooters because of the whiny fanboys. Finally I studied up on it and decided the games weren't so bad after all; I just can't play them to save my life. I really wish the whiny fanboys would do the same so we (meaning Nintendo vs. everything else) could stop arguing. But alas, the "top ten reasons y nintendo sux" videos still crop up. *sigh*

When I first saw My Little Pony, I didn't really have an opinion either way. After I watched a couple episodes I started to like the show and watched the whole first season and part of the second, but when I started watching reruns, I noticed a lot of things that annoyed me the first time along with a lot of new thigns to bother me. Also, most of the things I liked at first were being overshadowed or just not that funny anymore. Now, I absolutely hate the show. I gave it a chance and I don't like it.

Something I haven't given a try yet is Skylanders, but thats more on the princable of "I'm not buying another Activision money sink." Spent enough on that Guitar Hero stuff and rather save money for something I really want anyway.

I used to hate Twilight because of the bad reputations it got, then I read it and realized it was okay. Not the best book, but I could stand it
I used to like Hetalia because my friends liked it and I thought the art was nice, then I watched it.

So it works in both directions.
