Or at least the ones in their younger teens. 88% of them.
You see someone who at first looked like a normal person. They were decent, they went around deviantart in a rather humble manner and then suddenly - they're going everywhere lashing out at people, and yet have no indication that they're trolls, where ever one, or that they're actually trolling.
One asks why they're suddenly being asshats. The answer?
"People were being rude to me so I'm going to be rude to them until they stop."
Or:
"These people were doing the same so I can do the same to these other people."
The latter goes well with people who are going on fan wars. They see people in fandoms they don't like bashing their fandom, and thus they're totally allowed to go bash that one even though they would have never done it before and it's totally the other persons fault. :c
No. Guys. That's the mentality of a seven-year old - and for once I'm not exaggerating. When you're young enough to not know better, you believe that if someone does something to you, you can be allowed to do it back, or do something worse. They call you names, you push them, they shove you down, you whine and push them again. Thus what happens on an elementary playground.
I know the internet isn't the most mature place in the world, but that logic of 'they were rude to me so I'll be rude to them' is something for six-year olds. In that case, yes, you really shouldn't be on deviantart. Nor anywhere else on the internet. Believe me, you'll want to get out before you continue. When you look back onto your dipshit years you will go on with heavy regrets of your idiocy.
I say half of the brony haters I've seen need to leave the internet before they get arrested, or worse... *GASP* Getting chewed out by the very fandom they're hating!
Actually, it's happened. Ever heard of Deviltrigger555? If not, lookie here: [link]
Yes, we internet users are above the "They were mean to me, so I'll be mean to them" mentality We, of course, use the far more mature form of debate that involves the well thought-out argument of "OMAIGAWDYOURSUCHATOTALFUKKINN00BIH8USOMUCHYAFUKKINN00BSHITUSHUDGOKILLYOURSELFYAFUCKINN00BCUNT!!!"
Fan wars? I'm gonna go grab my popcorn, this is gonna be so much fun! In fact, grab the camera, we can earn some cash from those "Caught on Tape" shows
I know what you mean, there was this twelve year old girl a friend of mine greatly admired for her poetry, but the next we know she turned out to be banned for being rude to everyone
When i look back i think:
"Why the fuck was i like that!"

Nobody can be old and wise without being young and stupid at first.
