^{It amuses me so to see so many people who baw that their PRECIOUS WESTERN CARTOON IS BEING TAINTED BY THE EVIL FAGGOTRY EASTERN CARTOOOOONS BAAAW.

South Park fans are the worst with this. A lot of people draw them in an Eastern style, and fans throw the biggest bitch fits over it - mostly because a lot of anime South Park fans draw shonen-ai, but...even then who the fuck cares? Everyone who does it ages the characters so they're not pairing up ten-year olds and hell, even people who don't draw them anime style still pair them up.

I'm guessing the biggest reason though is that it will forever remain cool to hate all Eastern cartoons, and if your oh so precious Western cartoon is drawn in that style, you must rage over it!

Seriously. Any different style isn't that bad. Some people don't prefer drawing in the original style of the show. They just don't feel like it. Why are you so damn bothered about it?

It's just fanart. This isn't something to get so upset over; and believe me, people get fucking upset. They go fucking nuts because BAAAAAAW ANIME'S BAD IT'S NOT AN ANIME YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DRAW IT AS SUCH, while ignoring the fact that a lot of the Western cartoon turned anime artists are...actually pretty good. A lot of their work isn't half bad.

But of course, they're blinded by FDJHSFJDASFA ANIME SUCKS SO BAD YER ALL WEEABOOS I HATE YOU ALL FOR RUINING MAH SHAOOOOOOOWWWWWW.

It's just a show. It's just fanart. If you actually feel like it's ruined because of some drawings, you are a sad, strange little man. One that need to take a break from the internet, and badly.

The funniest thing is that Trey Parker enjoys anime, and they add so much slashy ship tease in the first place. I'll never understand the self-proclaimed South Park fans acting like they know the creators personally bawwing over the anime and slash

I never actually got WHY exactly this offended people. I mean there brilliant is Adventure Time/South Park/ect... fanart and then people freak because of it. Its one of those I can't follow how they went from brilliant art to screaming that it "WASN'T THE RIGHT STYLE OMG", I really can't.

I absolutely love seeing any cartoon/anime in other styles because it shows more originality, rather than just blatantly copying the style. Something I see a lot with popular cartoons like MLP and Invader Zim, etc

Ha ha, yes. Even though really moe moe bishonens of certain characters weird me out sometimes I don't waste time getting enraged over it. And so many people have gotten enraged over me because I love drawing chibis. I'm automatically a weeaboo because I draw chibi things... not because of the way I behave. (And just putting this out there, I most certainly do not behave like a weeaboo!) It's just so... unproductive to get all worked up over something like that.

I've been in so many Western fandoms where anime style is condemned to the point of absurdity.

Some people do need breaks from the internet. Long breaks!

To be honest, I honestly kinda prefer seeing things in anime style, it looks cute and it's also interesting to see a different look to a character. But I don't like when people portray the anime style and make the characters seem unrecognizable. Though I also like when people draw in the same style as the show, since the pictures can resemble screenshots.

I like it when fanart is drawn in a different style.
What I don't like is when they are normally "average" characters and are made "kawaii desu" or bishounen. Also, I don't really like when they are made to be more sexy or attractive than they are meant to be. eg: Giving and underage character boobs and not specifying it's a drawing of them aged.
