Mostly a Hetalia stamp, though you can generalize it around to anyone.
As most people would know Hetalia fans can go...like the Sonic fans, insane over their pairings, though it's much more strict over there. You see, in the Hetalia fandom, if you like heterosexual pairings, ones that aren't loved, or if you don't like USUK/FRUK/RussaxAmerica/RoChu/any really popular, up there pairing like that, you can bet your pretty ass fellow fans are going to bring down hell onto you.
I've been bashed over for not liking any of said pairings up there, and for supporting hetero pairings, but honestly I don't care who you ship, or who you ship it with. And people do get fucking insane...even sometimes with the hetero peeps.
There was a gal on here who made an anti Ukrainexsomeone stamp. It looked normal enough until I noticed the description was all CAPS LOCK RAEGED and...honestly didn't have good reasoning behind not liking the pairing because the history actually would have made them good. Anywho, I simply noted to her that she should probably calm down about it and the response had something that included:
"How would you feel if your country was whored around?!"
First: in the fandom Canada is one of the world's bicycles, right next to Japan. I already whore Matthew/Madeline like there's no tomorrow. Problem solved. Second: Don't know about anyone else but when I ship I don't think of them as land masses but their characters, so it's hard to feel DISGRACED. Third: ...the fuck did that even have to do with it. :U
So, in short: calm down about the pairings. Like that stamp going around by whom I cannot remember, the character's won't fucking mind because they're fucking fictional. And I'm guessing (guessing) the creators actually don't give the fuck you believe they do either.
Just let shippers ship, even if the couple is fucking weird as hell (people who are doing it to get attention obviously do not count here).
Totally agree! If someone ships a pairing I don't like, I totally respect that. And besides, we all have our likes and dislikes.
And about that girl who said about Ukraine being whored around made me realize something; When a male country is being paired with all the other countries, no one gives a damn. But when a female country is being paired with all the characters, everyone gives a damn!
I mean, seriously, don't hate the girls for them being shipped with a lot of characters. Same thing is happening with the guys, so why make a big deal over the girls?
Nowadays, I don't really care much for shipping pairings just because they are canon in the anime or in history. I just kind of like the deal with shipping people with chemistry in personalities, and possibly a meeting of different cultures (if Hetalia is concerned).
i find most pairings tolerable. Whilst some of them I don't like them as much as those I pour more attention too, I still pay attention to the artists/author's hard work in portraying the characters in a relationship. ^^
agree with this and some comments below me =w=b I'm okay with all pairings, whether it's popular, normal, weird, or even crack. And I never complain at their pairing, that's their liking after all. Sure, there's some pairings that I don't really like, but at least I appreciated them, I never bash them, I let them be. But sometimes I've seen that the peoples from the fandom itself it's all complain and babbling with my choice of pairing, some people complaining about my pair behind my back, some of them even sent me a hate note because of it (which makes me want to leave the fandom, but can't do that lol). But thanks to that, I'm become more mature to face it, I don't really care what other people say, I'm still enjoying it and I know there are peoples who like the same pairing as I do.
This stamp is freaking awesome. Personally I'm part of the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom, but we often have the same issue. And then when you DO ship one of the generic shippings, you're expected to ship the rest of the generic ones too, and I'm tired of it. I ship one of the popular ships, and then just... Other stuff. Shipping stereotypes and judging people because of what they ship is annoying as hell. Everyone just needs to ship whatever the hell they want.
