Because this quote was apparently from him. Okay not really. But still, if you reeeeally feel like complaining about it, go to that twitter account that made it more popular.
Ah hell, who am I really kidding. I can sense impending shitstorms and this one was so strong I was nearly knocked out in the middle of making this stamp. So, I kept seeing this everywhere on Spirit Day and decided to transfer it to stamp. Don't know if I'm the first to do so, but here it is.
I also don't know if the person actually clarified more on this or not, but I would be guessing he/she's more talking about the folks who take the term and plaster it on themselves just so they can act like a dick horse, and when you ask them why they're being a dick horse to these people, they can just say, 'Oh, well, I'm homophobic, so I'm allowed to do it.'
That was the way I first saw it. Though honestly, looking back in the way I put it, even if you do have a true fear I still don't see a reason to be a dick horse. I don't feel like murdering and being a complete dick horse to someone who has the flu/is going to throw up/is sick/might throw up. If people with my fear acted like 'homophobics' every single sick person in the world whose symptoms including vomiting would be ostracized, murdered, hated upon, and would probably have to start up parades so they aren't hated as much.
Men and Women are supposed to act according to genetic protocols and societal norms. Men can be attracted to women and women can be attracted to men.
Gays are reversed which makes them uncomfortable to be around for some people hence the wierd homophobia. It makes perfect sense when you consider that people who are arachnophobic are uncomfortable around spiders.
