Yeah, after all of those safe stamps I had to make this.
For those who didn't know, the whole 'Rainbow Dash being a lesbian thing' first came from a woman who was criticizing the show, saying that Dash "made all lesbians look like angry tomboys". Ironic, considering she appeared like she first had intentions of protecting lesbians in mind, then immediately went to say that being a tomboy made you a lesbian. I'm guessing she also saw the rainbow colours and that brought her to saying that as well.
From there on there have been actual fan wars about it. But really...why the hell does anyone care? If people do believe she's a lesbian and they're not trolling, good for them. If people don't believe she is, good for them.
She's just a cartoon character. There have been some children's cartoon character whose sexualities have come up to question (Spongebob being asexual, Ren and Stimpy being gay), but all in all...why is there so much fuss about this? Why all the arguments about it?
Just because one dickcheese of a reviewer said she was everyone in the fandom has to go absolutely fucking insane over it? Stop acting like whiny anime fans who figured out that the main character in some anime comes to not fall head over heels for the obvious love interest.
Just enjoy the damn show. Most of the people who will say she's a lesbian do like shipping (though, even I like shipping and I know that canon there is no indication to sexuality), and if you don't like it ignore them. I repeat from my "BUT IT'S EVERYWHERE" stamp: IGNORING. IT'S FUCKING MAGICAL AND PRETTY EASY TO DO IF YOU STOP COMPLAINING FOR A SECOND. C:
In my headcanon, everypony is bisexual. It makes sense to me because the ratio of stallions to mares is like 1:7. In my headcanon, Equestria doesn't care about gender, it's about it's about whether you love that pony or not.
My only problem with mare x mare, stallion x stallion, filly x filly, colt x colt, filly x mare, colt x stallion, filly x colt, filly x stallion, colt x mare, foal x filly, foal x colt, foal x foal, foal x mare, foal x stallion shipping is that offspring is scientifically impossible. I still make stallion x stallion and mare x mare adoptables, though. Because most people have mares, and then when a do a breedable with a mare, it's hard to not allow mare x mare. I'd have no adoptables! I DON'T CARE ABOUT SEXUALITY, AS LONG AS YOU ARE HAPPY.
Come on people, can fandoms get ANY lower than this? arguing over a CARTOON CHARACTERS SEXUALITY IS STUPID! IT'S A DAMN CARTOON! I don't want to offend any fans, but I honestly think that some people take cartoons a bit too far. THIS is an example.
I don't fuss over the sexuality of cartoon characters but calling Rainbow Dash a lesbian simply because she's a tomboy and has a rainbow mane is stupid. Rainbows simbolize diversity, not just gays and lesbians!
Dash is a lesbian in my own headcanon. However I don't care if people think she's straight or bi because that's their headcanon and holy hell she's just a cartoon character so there's nothing to fuss about. :'3
Sometimes I think Twilight Sparkle has a crush on Princess Celestia. O_o She is quite obsessed.
I don't know about the pairings with Dash...I have only seen AppleDash and FlutterDash. FlutterDash, I don't know...Dash is so...brutal sometimes. And so full of herself. I kinda think Fluttershy needs someone less loud and bossy. AppleDash could work, I quess. Applejack wouldn't let Rainbow Dash boss her around.
I haven't watched the whole second season yet ( the last episode I watched was about Rainbow Dash getting a pet), but I hope they won't get any male love interests. For some reason. It would get too complicated, maybe.
Well, I think for him, it's like Ren and Stimpy. I loved how whenever people asked the character of that show is they're gay he always responded with something along the lines of, "I don't know. It's none of my business."
And there I meant that in the show they don't show any signs that she's gay or straight - which is, well, similar to pretty much every one of the main ponies.
