^{I had been trying like a boss over the last couple of months to not make a rant about the Western religions. But, being a glutton for punishment I just had to come across something that made me rage dance so hard I nearly passed out. So yes, BIG LONG ASS DESCRIPTION HO!

Like within every religion, Christians come in different flavours. There are the cool ones, the ones that don't allow a religion/life/whatever the fuck you want to call it take them completely over. They can think for themselves, they can think on their own morality and don't feel the need to focus completely on the bible, no matter how their parents brought them up.
There's then a little branch off of Christians who are completely enveloped in the bible, but they still don't discriminate and will leave others alone.

Then we start to get into the iffy territory. The good ends with Christians who believe everything of whatever stereotype, they're against all these things...but they won't flip, they won't freak out at someone or try to convert them over. These are the people who, even though they think being gay is a sin, will still heed to the 'love thy neighbor' thing their God supposedly was supposed to have implanted into them.
Aaaand finally we have the two sorts of extreme ones, the latter that pisses me off a hell more than the first. The first is our common stereotype of a Christian. The Carrie's Mother. They believe everyone is sinning, they start spewing bible quotes, they go to gays and people of other religions and try to convert them and stop their evil ways...they're nasty little peckers.

But what I find worse than even them are the people who are exactly the same - but these people are on the rouse that they are actually helping you. They go to you and say you just have to repent for your sins, just have to pray and believe in God, and everything will be better; and all the while they're thinking that they're actually helping you by calling you a disgusting pile of sin...and then they smile and say "But you can be saved if you do what MY religion says!"

No. Fuck. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. -Insert Nostalgia Critic rant of 'no's' here-

So, dear these types of Christians: You are not helping anyone when you do this. You are not doing shit except for making these folks lives a hell lot more worse than they already would have been with other discrimination.

Telling people to just pray and repent for their sins won't help.
Telling people they can be forgiven if they turn and believe in God won't help.
Telling them that they still have time to rid of their filthy habit of liking people with the same genitals as their's/having a religion that isn't focused on your God/doing something you don't like but isn't actually illegal won't help.
Throwing a bible at them won't help. If they're like me it'll be straight down the garbage the second the door is closed.

You know why none of these won't help? These fucking people do not need help. All you're doing is flying around them like a mosquito, pestering and pestering and all they'd want to do, rather than accept your faith and see Jesus as their Lord and Savior, is take the biggest fly swatter they can find and smash you hard and good into the wall.

And the people you do apparently 'help'...the majority of them seem fucking brainwashed, which they pretty much were. Take the actual camps for gay people as example; they are impounded the supposed fact that they're going to burn, that they're filthy, until it's been grounded so hard into their poor minds they'll probably start hissing at the sign of a rainbow.

Long story short... I have seen some Christians who try to help others by accepting God actually do help; but these are for people who are in depression or something of the sort. It just lifts them, and sometimes, if someone needs a lift, some sort of faith can help them get back up.
But if you're trying to change them from what they are just because YOU don't approve of it, or God or Jebus or whoever...you're not doing a goddamned good thing.

What pissed me off most was how the person who made the thing that made me rage responded to another...the one person asked 'Why do you care so much?' and the person who made said ragey piece responded, 'if a blind person was walking towards a cliff would you not steer them away?'

I'm a Christian and I faved this. I've had at least two extreme Christians try to "save" me. One tried to convince me that I shouldn't support gay rights, and another tried to convince me to break up with my atheist boyfriend.

Well they don't murder people so I guess that's a point lost in Hitler's opinion. And Hitler wasn't too fond of Christians. But other than that? Yes, I bet Hitler would love the 'Straight Camps'.

Seriously, places like that should be completely illegal. In my opinion they violate human rights.

(On another note, I once watched this cartoon about gay people and how it isn't a choice. It mentioned straight camps. It showed it as these people on a conveyor belt going into this building titled 'straight camp'. The conveyor belt exits on the other side and the narrator says something like 'they claim they can turn gay people straight but in reality they just force gay people to suppress and hide their feelings towards the opposite gender.' Then one of the girls on the exit conveyor belt whispers 'psst! We're actually still gay!' Seems to sum it up quite nicely.)

Being an atheist myself, I was very happy this stamp exists. There's this one idiot who runs around my school and crosses a pair of sporks together and yells "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!!"

I have about 2 Christian friends, and they are the dearest ones I have. They've never brought up religion with me, never tried to convert me, never did anything particularly religious around me.
And I fucking love it.

I'll let people believe what they want to.
When THEY try to make me believe it is when I get mad/annoyed/sick and god damn tired.
